PREACHING MINISTER JOB OPENING

Due to our current preaching minister’s retirement after 18+ years, we are currently looking to fill our open preaching minister position. The role of this minister is to emphasize Biblical teaching and encourage and equip servants to share, and live out, the gospel of Jesus. Our search is for a Spirit led man who is excited to work in collaboration with the elders, ministry team and membership of the Decatur Church of Christ.
Our congregation has been serving our community for over 100 years, and consists of a wide demographic of people, from multigenerational families, to single men and women, a thriving children’s ministry and more! Decatur Church of Christ is in the growing community of Decatur, TX, located less than an hour away from the DFW metroplex.
EMPHASIZE BIBLICAL TEACHING
Share God’s word to multi-generations through teaching and preaching.
Communicate in ways that are applicable and relevant to daily living.
EQUIP
AND
ENCOURAGE
Encourage members to seek meaningful relationship with God and to share His good news with others.
Equip members to better utilize their gifts to serve the church and community.
SPIRIT
LED
LEADERSHIP
Seek the will of God on a personal level through spiritual disciplines.
Actively surrender to the Holy Spirit’s wisdom and direction.
COLLABORATE
Work closely with the elders to cast vision and create strategies that draw people into deeper relationship with God and with each other.
Partner with the ministry and administrative team to implement plans to reach the goals of the church.
Serve together with members of the church in reaching the lost and serving our community.
