Youth Ministry – Decatur Church of Christ

Leading students toward full devotion to Christ.

The mission and purpose of the Youth Ministry is to facilitate the spiritual growth of the youth of our congregation and others in order to create a foundation for their walk with Christ throughout their life, and to focus on knowledge of the Bible while using social events to promote fellowship and spiritual development.

Sunday Morning Bible Class
9:00 am

Come to learn more about who God is, who the Bible says you are and the life Jesus wants to offer you.

Wednesday Night Bible Class
6:30 pm

We open up the Youth Activity Center/YAC for 7th-12th graders on Wednesday evenings at 6:00 pm before our youth classes begin at 6:30.

Our youth have multiple opportunities to join with peers to participate in meaningful activities focused on growing closer to God and sharing it with others. Camps, retreats, youth rallies, Bible classes, mission trips & more

Jacob has been ministering at the Decatur Church of Christ since January 1, 2002. He is married to Heather who works along side of him in this ministry. They have three children, Mia, Addi and Jayce.

Jacob and Heather both graduated from Harding University in Searcy, Arkansas. Jacob graduated with a double major in Business Marketing and Vocational Ministry. Heather graduated with a major in Communications Management and a minor in Graphics Design.

Jacob spent three of his college summers working with churches as a Youth Intern. He decided that full-time ministry was where he belongs. Jacob is excited to be serving here at the Decatur Church of Christ as a 7th-12th grade Youth & Family Minister.
